Yellowstone or BUST!

We headed out on Monday, June 8th around 1:30. After filling up the tank...yikes! ($190) we were off. Shortly thereafter it started raining and it rained and rained and rained! Very heavy rain. We didn't even make it to Kansas City and decided to stop for the night. We stayed in a Wal Mart parking lot (I can now check that off my bucket list). However, we had MAJOR leaks in the motorhome. All of our clothes in the back got wet, as well as some of our bed linens. Plus Kyler and I were soaked from walking back and forth into the store and Phillip was soaked from putting a tarp across the back. Whew! But we survived and by Tuesday morning it had slowed to a gentle rain and by Noon we were under blue skies. However, our MH issues were not over - the awning broke and Phillip took it off someone along the highway.  

We stopped for the day at a nice RV park in North Platte, Nebraska with a swimming pool in the shape of Nebraska. The pool was slightly heated so Kyler and I went for a dip.  Plus they had a laundry so I was able to get all of our stuff clean and dry!
