Bolt in 3D

One of the things we enjoy doing with the boys is going to the movies. We went to see Bolt in 3D the weekend before Christmas. Melissa and Evan joined us for dinner first, then Phillip, Jayden, Kyler and I went to the movies while Melissa put Evan to bed and had a little time to do some last minute wrapping. The boys loved the 3D glasses ....

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas! Everyone was at our house on Christmas Eve for dinner, the reading of Christmas stories, setting out cookies for Santa, etc. Santa was good to all of the little children at the house - he even brought the newest member of our family - Coco. Coco is the cutest chocolate lab puppy! She is already right at hone with the Pitts boys.

Jingle Bell Run !!!

Miranda, Kila and I just completed our first 5K at the Jingle Bell Run in Hot Springs. I did the best that I've ever done (which isn't saying alot). I'm afraid that Miranda is going to have a sore neck from constantly turning around to see if I was behind her.... It was so much fun! Everybody was dressed up in Red and Green and Santa Hats and Bells and all kinds of Christmassy outfits. We're going to get a team together for next year....anybody interested?

The lakehouse in winter....

We went to the lakehouse this past weekend. I love going up there - even in the winter. When I walk in the door I am instantly relaxed - especially this time since it was so late! We went to my office Christmas party at the Dean's house in LR and then headed to Rogers. One picture below is Phillip (in his favorite winter spot) helping with the ebelskivers. Since I don't have a food processor at the lake, he is incorporating the cinnamon filling. The other picture is a raccoon that was "belly up" as Phillip says. In this case it is true both literally and figuratively. (I thought the boys would like to see it) The water is down about 8 feet from where it was all summer. Kerry said that they are supposed to take it down another 8 feet.

We went to the Promenade and shopped Saturday. It was a beautiful, clear, cold day - perfect for Christmas shopping. We also ate at that Steakhouse (can't remember the name) for lunch. It is a log and rock structure with a big fireplace - great atmosphere. The best part about being in NWA is that after we do something, we can go visit our favorite little boys..... They were working on their Christmas decorations and we got to help. We also had a great time sitting around the table doing some crafts. Girls, this is the same table that we used for crafts when ya'll were growing up. It brought back such memories....

After decorating and crafting we all went to Wal Mart. One of the secretaries in my office lost all of her belongings in a fire last week. Her sister and her 2 year old daughter live with her. I gave the boys each some money and we went to WalMart to buy some toys for the little girl. When I gave Jayden his money he said "Cici, it could be VERY embarassing for us to buy girl stuff." Nevertheless, he and Kyler did a great job of picking out age appropriate toys for the little girl. They have such big hearts!

Junior League had their Holiday tour of homes this weekend and Melissa gave us a couple of tickets. We only went to one house (but now I wish that we had gone to more). We planned to just stop at the WalMart house on our way out of town and by then it was too late to go see others. The house that we went to was totally decorated with Wal Mart decorations. It was so pretty.

It was a great weekend!
