Family Beach Time 2011
We joined the Pitts family for a little Beach time again this year. Miranda rode with us this year. We left bright and early Saturday morning from Arkadelphia and got to the condo at the same time that the Pitts crew did. We stayed at Indigo East. As luck would have it, our condo's were accessed by the same elevator - Pitts in 603 and us in 2004 - so it was convenient for the boys to come up to our condo. We loved being up on the 20th floor - the views were great! It was such a relaxing vacation - coffee with Miranda and sometimes Melissa and Evan, beach, pool, condo, repeat....
Miranda only stayed until Wednesday - she had a flight out from Pensacola on Wednesday evening. She missed the huge waves. By Thursday, tropical store Don was churning up the waters in the gulf and all of a sudden we had huge waves! It was amazing how the beach changed overnight. Before this time, there was probably 15 yards of beach in front of this row of chairs - notice that the water is at the chairs.
The high water created a beach pool of water that was filled with jellyfish. The boys loved it!
Sorry Miranda, I did not get many pictures of you because I was chillaxin on the beach the entire time you were there :( Most of these pictures I took on Thursday. And when you are the photographer, there is no evidence that you were there either.... However, before Miranda left we did get some family photos:
It was a great trip....in fact....I WANT TO GO BACK!
Auntie M and her favorite Nephews:
I got up at 5:30 one morning to run....beautiful....
We woke up to a little rain on Tuesday morning, so we headed to the Naval Air Museum:
